Art Walks

These guided art walks offer a unique way of experiencing the Arts. The itineraries are diverse from visiting artist run galleries, back yard studios, public art, workshops and creative spaces to curated walks in site-specific locations. Artists are invited to talk or respond through their practice at each site. Each art walk is one to two hours in duration and offers an opportunity for creative discussion with like-minded individuals.

Women and Art: Footscray walk

As part of International Women's Day week, a celebratory walk of women and art will take place in Footscray. 

This one hour walk will start at Vu Metro West viewing the exhibition Five Women: Five Images, a response to gender equality. We then visit Attack of the 50 ft Woman by Baby Guerrilla, Larissa MacFarlane's Ritual of Handstands and Women's Circus tribute. Local street artist Trashort will provide insight into her recent works. Down rainbow alley to view and hear an installation by artists Narinda Cook and Architecture of Audio commissioned by Maribyrnong City Council. Finishing at Trocadero Art SpaceFive Walls Projects and new art space Arcade to hear artist talks. *
