Walking with Strangers is an immersive evening guided walk that investigates four sites along two streets in Footscray through sound, video projection and performance. The artists will present an experimental experience of ephemeral works that inspire site contemplation. The final destination offers a participatory element with the audience, transiting from strangers to companions.

This guided art walk is a series of ephemeral artworks that respond to the fascinating heritage of the Docklands area as a site of transition, migration and arrival, central to the development of the Melbourne we know today.
As part of International Women's Day week, a celebratory walk of women and art will take place in Footscray.
Off the Kerb Gallery and Wynter Projects will next year host a series of art walks within the City of Yarra. Our first walk is the Collingwood Art Crawl that takes us on a back ally exploration of artist run galleries, studios and public artworks. This guided walk will start at Off the Kerb, a dedicated three gallery artist-run space. Across the road to Keith Haring's mural that holds a rich and controversial history. A sneak peak into Circus Oz headquarters. Marcus Westbury will offer us insight into the Collingwood Arts Precinct. Along a local colourful alleyway abundant with street works to visit Backwoods Gallery, a bold gallery space. Our final stop to the Strange Neighbour in Fitzroy, base to a gallery and darkroom. *

WELCOME TO THE SALON invites three contemporary performance artists; Riza Manalo, Janette Hoe and Hannah Bronte to explore the role of woman in the site-specific location of three functioning hair salons in Footscray.
This special walk will include the Women's Circus, Born in a Taxi and Big Fish. An extravaganza of live performances, installations, workshops and artist talks. Join the guided tour or explore independently. A unique creative activation along the Maribyrnong River.
The guided walk component will require RSVP bookings that can be made at wynterprojects.com with subject River Sights 3 and date.
Artists Riza Manalo, Steven Rhall and Jessica Dubblu respond to three sites along the Maribyrnong River through video work, installation, photography and sound, incorporating migration, indigenous and colonial histories respectively. River Sights is a guided walking evening tour visiting the work of each artist with artist talks. This is part of the River of Lives project which is research conducted by Victoria University and supported by Maribyrnong City Council. River of Lives looks at how community uses the Maribyrnong River. The projections will be powered by Projector Bike.
