Confluence - Art on Site in Docklands

  • Ron Barassi Snr Park Little Docklands Drive Docklands, VIC, 3008 Australia (map)

The Front and Wynter Projects presents Confluence - Art on Site in Docklands.

This guided art walk is a series of ephemeral artworks that respond to the fascinating heritage of the Docklands area as a site of transition, migration and arrival, central to the development of the Melbourne we know today.

Artists Dagmara Gieysztor, Clive Bourne, Deb Bain-King, Annee Miron, and Ashlee Laing have spent the last year sifting and responding to the history and landscape of Docklands. Out of this research has come a range of works that include sound, performance, sculpture, projection and an audience participatory encounter.

The Western Park, Waterfront Piazza, New Quay Promenade and Harbour Esplanade will be activated and enhanced by these site specific contemporary art works that celebrate and highlight the area as a liminal mediating space between the water and the City of Melbourne.

DURATION: 2 hours
