In collaboration with the Women’s Circus, this masterclass explores adapting creativity into a digital context. As a producer and artist, Chantal’s practice has been built on traditional modes of presentation such as live performance, site-specific works, public guided walks, soundscapes in situ and projection. This new circumstance has forced us to look at new forms of online engagement while adapting our practice. Artists have experienced positive and negative outcomes. This session investigates inspiration and motivation, developing content, collaborations in isolation, learning new technology, access to technology, engaging audiences, challenges and health well-being. Chantal will lead the session for the first hour. This will be followed with guest artists Youjia Lu, Liz Crash, Jinghua Qian, Rebecca Jensen, Paea Leach and Amber McCartney. They will talk about their own practices followed by a live Q&A.
Participants are encouraged to think and talk about their own ideas and projects. This workshop has been developed as an exchange between participants and presenters for women, female identifying and non-binary people.
